Student Expenses

Statement of Charges: 2021–2022

Students enrolled for six or more credit hours in a semester are classified as full-time students for that semester. All other students are classified as part-time students. Student status is critical when determining financial aid eligibility.

The following fee schedule is applicable to the 2021–2022 academic year. The College reserves the right to change tuition and fees at any time without prior notice.

Some or all instruction for all or part of Academic Year 2021-2022 may be delivered remotely or via a hybrid model. Refunds

Because North Central College contracts with faculty and staff and incurs other expenses in advance of the academic year, a refund formula has been established to reflect the equitable sharing of the loss when a student withdraws from classes. Refunds due to official withdrawal, suspension or dismissal will be made on the following basis:

Tuition — A student who officially withdraws from the College or a course(s) may receive a full or partial refund (credit) according to the following schedule: Refund Schedule (Graduate) .

A current schedule with specific effective dates is published in advance of each semester. The date of withdrawal is established by the student’s completion of all official steps for completing the process and will be based on the date that the Registrar’s Office records the withdrawal. If a student withdraws from the College or any courses at any time without having completed the official process, no refund/credit will be made. Non-attendance in a class does not automatically withdraw the student from the course. The appropriate paperwork must be turned in to the School of Graduate and Professional Studies to be recorded. The College reserves the right to modify the refund schedule as circumstances may dictate.

Veterans Affairs Pending Payment Compliance

North Central College will not take any of the four following actions toward any student using U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Post 9/11 G.I. Bill® (Ch. 33)1 or Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (Ch. 31) benefits, while their payment from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs is pending to the educational institution:

• Prevent the student from enrolling

• Assess a late penalty fee to the student

• Require the student to secure alternative and/or additional funding

• Deny the student access to attending due to pending payment

In order to qualify for this provision, the student should produce the VA Certificate of Eligibility (COE) by applicable required financial payment dates.  VA students must notify the financial aid department each academic year of their intent to use their benefits for certification purpose and provide additional information necessary to the proper certification of enrollment by North Central College.

Tuition, fees, and other costs are equitable for all students, regardless of veteran status.
