The Interdisciplinary Science major is designed as an option for students who are undecided in their academic scientific career focus, students desiring a broad scientific background to complement other academic interests, students pursuing an engineering degree as part of the 3+2 dual-degree program or Education majors seeking licensure in the sciences.

Major Requirements
- At least 40 credit hours from the following disciplines: BIOL, BCHM, CHEM, CSCE, ENGR, MATH, NEUR, PHYS and PSYC, including a minimum of 20 credit hours at the 200-level or above, of which at least eight credit hours must be at the 300-level or above.
- Credits from PSYC must come from the following courses: PSYC 100 , PSYC 250 , PSYC 255 , PSYC 340 , PSYC 345 , PSYC 497 , PSYC 498 .
- The planned program of study must contain an emphasis (16 or more credit hours) in at least two of the aforementioned departments.
- Completion of a four credit hour 400-level capstone experience encompassing the two areas of specialization (e.g. Independent Study).
Additional Requirements for the B.A. Degree
