MATH 421 - Abstract Algebra I

4.00 credit hours
Introduction to the theory of rings, fields and groups. Topics include modular arithmetic, polynomial rings, factorization and tests for irreducibility, ideals, quotient rings, morphisms and subgroups.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 280  and MATH 300 .
