KINE 102 - Ice Skating

2.00 credit hours
Instruction on the fundamentals of ice skating for the purpose of lifetime physical activity. Instruction on the parts of an ice skate blade, balancing, forward and backward gliding, forward and backward stroking, forward crossovers, stopping and turning. Additional skills may be added based on the needs and skills of the students. Discussion of various strokes, jumps and spins will be included. No previous experience is required. Physical activity is required in this course. Please consult your physician prior to participating. If you have a concern regarding the activity, please consult the instructor.
