CARD 095 - College Learning Strategies2.00 credit hours Students develop learning strategies and academic skills necessary to succeed in college. Students examine factors that affect their own learning, explore diverse learning styles and practice various study strategies and techniques. Assignments focus on active reading, effective note taking, improving memory and recall and development of the writing and research skills necessary for college success. Topics may also include: self-regulated learning, time management, wellness and academic goal setting. This course does not count toward graduation. It does count towards full-time status.
