CHM 273 - Spectral Interpretation II1.00 credit hours This course will continue with the ideas presented in CHM 272 (Spectral Interpretation I) and focus on the identification of organic molecules from the synergistic information afforded by a combination of all the individual techniques previously learned. Also included is a more advanced study of Mass Spectral fragmentation patterns and Correlation (two-dimensional) Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy. The latter technique will include how to use COSY, HMQC, HMBC, etc. to interpret 2-D NMR spectra towards acquiring further structural information on organic molecules.
Prerequisite(s): CHM 272 .
