Computer Science, B.A. or B.S./MS
|
|
Academically strong undergraduates may apply to the Integrated Undergraduate/Graduate Computer Science Program. Students in this program can earn both the B.A. or B.S. and the M.S. degree in Computer Science with 144 credit hours, normally completing both degrees within five years.
|
Admission Criteria
Students interested in applying to the program must meet the following requirements:
Cumulative G.P.A. of
- 3.333 or higher, both overall and in the major, or
- 3.000 or higher overall and 3.500 or higher in the major.
Students who meet these criteria may apply to the program anytime between the first term of the junior year and the first term of the senior year.
Program Requirements
The program enables full-time students to complete 12 hours of graduate work, normally during the senior year. Six of these hours count toward both the undergraduate and graduate degrees. The other six hours are beyond the 120 hours required for the bachelor’s degree. Students graduate with a B.A. or B.S. at the end of their senior year. In the fifth year, they complete an additional 18 hours of graduate work, including a Master’s Project, to earn the Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
