The North Central Accelerated 3+2 Dual-Degree plan for B.S. in Health Science (HTSC) and Master’s Entry to Nursing Practice (MENP) Program offers qualified North Central College undergraduates a streamlined pathway to earn both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s Entry to Nursing Practice degree through an integrated, year-round curriculum. Students apply during the spring of their junior year and begin MENP coursework in the fall of their senior year (Year 4). This structured 3+2 model enables students to complete general education curricula, major and degree requirements, and foundational undergraduate prerequisite coursework at North Central College, transition directly into graduate-level nursing education, and fulfill the requirements for both degrees in five academic years. The bachelor’s degree is awarded after successful completion of the first year of MENP coursework, at which point students continue toward completion of the master’s degree. The MENP program follows a year-round calendar (fall, spring, and summer semesters) and includes intensive academic preparation, clinical learning, laboratory training, and professional development aligned with AACN and state licensure standards. Eligibility is limited to students who will complete at least 60 credit hours at North Central College prior to matriculating into the MENP curriculum. This includes both students who begin their undergraduate studies at North Central and transfer students who meet the institutional credit requirement. Applicants must also meet all prerequisite, GPA, and curricular requirements outlined by the Department of Nursing.

For additional programs and courses in this department, see Health Sciences.
