The Shimer History of Ideas Minor offers students a wide array of courses that feature historically transformative works in the humanities, natural sciences and social sciences. In small seminars they will explore timeless questions in each area: Why do we tell stories? What is the world made of? What is justice? Through small seminar discussions, critical essays and practical projects, students will deepen their appreciation of the value of an education in any area.
