Physics Minor

Minor Requirements

A minimum of 18 credit hours of Physics to include:

PHYS 160 - Physics of the Fast and Small
PHYS 131 - Physics I (Non-Calculus) and PHYS 132 - Physics II (Non-Calculus) -OR- PHYS 161 - Physics I: Mechanics and Heat and PHYS 162 - Physics II: Electromagnetism, Waves and Optics
PHYS 265 - Physics III: Quantum Physics with Lab -or- CHEM 345 - Quantum Chemistry and Spectroscopy

Electives

Eight additional credit hours of PHYS courses at the 300-level or above.

Student must take PHYS 311 unless credit has already been given for ELEC 200 and ELEC 250 .
PHYS 391 , PHYS 392 , PHYS 395 and Internships do not count towards this elective requirement.
