BIO 340 - Microbiology4.00 credit hours Biology of microorganisms, emphasizing the physiology, genetics and ecology of bacteria and their relationships (pathogenic and otherwise) with other organisms. Archaea, viruses, eukaryotic microorganisms and basic concepts of immunology are introduced. Laboratory emphasizes the application of microbiological techniques to investigative studies. Laboratory required.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 252 ; BIO 253 recommended.
