PHYS 212 - Engineering Statics2.00 credit hours Application of the laws of statics equilibrium to engineering problems. Topics include equivalent systems of forces, centroids, analysis of rigid body systems such as trusses and frames. Additional Topics may include friction, fluid pressure, moments of inertia and virtual work. Credit may not be earned for both PHYS*211 and PHYS*212.
Prerequisite(s): PHYS 161 ; concurrent enrollment in MATH 253 .
