What is science? What is the character of the knowledge it offers? What are its limits? How certain is it? This course addresses such questions as students read philosophers and historians of science who examine the development of modern science and its characteristics, as both a social and an intellectual enterprise
Prerequisite(s): SHMR 106 and SHMR 116 .
