NURS 522 - Advanced Nurse Specialist Capstone: Planning 2.00 credit hours
This capstone planning course builds on the concepts and knowledge gained from previous graduate nursing courses allowing the for application of theories and concepts associated with the advanced nurse specialist. This course includes 200 hours of on-site project planning activities. Students will collaborate with their practicum project precept to create a plan for a quality improvement project which integrates standards of professional nursing performance, ethical, legal, IRB approval and regulatory compliance in their chosen practicum setting. ANCC faculty mentor will be provided to each student. The practicum site preceptor must be approved by the Graduate Nursing Program.
