FINA 440 - Principles of Insurance2.00 credit hours This course provides an overview of insurance markets within the United States. Emphasis is placed on different types of risk, frameworks to price risk and certain regulations overseeing insurance markets. Insurance markets covered include term and permanent life, health, personal property, disability and liability insurance. Additional topics discussed include annuities, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, long term care insurance and estate planning considerations.
Prerequisite(s): FINA 350 .
