DMSO 301 - Fundamentals of Sonography

3.00 credit hours
Orientation in basic scanning techniques, instrumentation, acoustic energy and anatomy and image identification. Students will learn to identify sonographic anatomy and acceptable image parameters to correlate this information to specific procedures. Students will practice scanning to achieve basic skills needed in the clinical setting. This course must be passed prior to continuing in the DMS program.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the DMS program or consent of Program Director.
