NUTR 470 - Capstone: Nutrition Myths and Controversies4.00 credit hours Using integrated knowledge obtained through nutrition science course work, students will choose a nutrition-related health app, diet program or cuisine to evaluate depending on their area of interest. Evaluation includes adhering to the diet program, using the app or preparing and consuming the cuisine for two to four weeks, assessing the program/app/cuisine for safety, nutrition or health outcomes, potential for behavior change and cost-effectiveness. Students will present their findings through a presentation in an open forum.
