JPST 264 - Japan Today I2.00 credit hours An exploration various aspects of contemporary Japan. By examining the relationship between Japan’s past and present, students develop an understanding of how Japanese society and identity embrace global modernity while remaining distinctly “Japanese.” While open to any student, this course is intended in part to be a preparation for the May-term travel/study course to Japan, JPST 265 . Taught in English. Repeatable with different content.
Prerequisite(s): Instructor consent.
