MATH 360 - Mathematical Statistics

4.00 credit hours
A continuation of the topics from Probability (MATH 340 ). This is a calculus-based mathematical stastics class. Topics included: statistical inference and sampling distributions, methods of estimation, main properties of estimators and their applications, confidence intervals for unknown parameters, hypothesis testing, Linear regression and correlation, the analysis of variance, and an introduction to the analysis of categorical data.Credit may not be earned for both MATH*360 and MATH*260.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 340 .
