DPTD 862 - Neuromuscular Practice Management II

3.00 credit hours
The Neuromuscular Practice Management II course is part of a three-course sequence that address pathology specific knowledge, assessment and intervention of common neuromuscular conditions across the lifespan. Neuromuscular Practice Management II builds off the assessment in Neuromuscular Practice Management I, progressing to intervention of patients with neurologic diagnoses. New neurologic disorders are introduced in this course including spinal cord injuries, central nervous system oncology, Guillain Barre Syndrome and degenerative conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease/movement disorders, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and concussion. This course also contains a review of vestibular disorders with a focus on treatment.

Prerequisite(s): DPTD 861,  DPTD 881  and concurrent enrollment in DPTD 882 .
