MPAS 505 - Molecular Basis of Disease 3.00 credit hours The course introduces the concepts and principles critical to understanding the molecular mechanisms of human disease. A solid foundation regarding the scientific basis of disease is necessary for full comprehension of the Clinical Medicine Courses series. The underlying cellular principles that contribute to disease etiology, diagnosis, management, and prevention will be emphasized. Special focus will be given to biochemistry, nutrition, genetics, immunology, virology and microbiology.
