EDN 563 - Diagnostic Reading Instruction3.00 credit hours Students will be introduced to the nature of literacy development and the learning difficulties children may face as they are developing as readers. Students will be exposed to a variety of alternative teaching strategies and materials to help students solve their problems with reading. Emphasis will be placed on a holistic and ongoing approach to the diagnostic process and the relationship between diagnostic assessment and instructional planning.
