MOT 533 - Physical Dysfunction Assessment and Intervention 3.00 credit hours This laboratory course introduces the student to the role of the occupational therapist working with adult populations experiencing physical disabilities that impair function. Students learn the evaluation and treatment of physical disorders in the adult population and their impact on occupational performance areas and components. Laboratory sessions emphasize the application of intervention theory, evidence based practice and treatment techniques for specific conditions. The course focuses on physical disabilities commonly addressed with an adult population and techniques used to restore, maintain, modify and prevent disability.
Prerequisite(s): MOT 531 and MOT 532 .
