KIN 355 - Teaching Sexuality Education3.00 credit hours Essential content and skills for teaching K-12 sexuality education in the school and community. Methods of teaching anatomy and physiology, puberty and adolescent development, identity, pregnancy and reproduction, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV, healthy relationships and personal safety will be addressed. Focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to direct the emotionally charged issue of sexuality education with youth.
Prerequisite(s): KIN 149 ; KIN 230 or KIN 231 .
