EDN 330 - Teaching Students with Special Learning Needs3.00 credit hours An introduction and overview of the field of special education including: historical developments; etiology, characteristics, prevalence and needs of special populations served under IDEA and Section 504; compliance with state and federal regulations related to Special Education, and the importance of collaborative relationships with related services professionals and paraprofessionals. Required: 15 hours field experience.
Prerequisite(s): EDN 200 or EDN 228 ; PSY 205 ; acceptance into the Teacher Education Program. Concurrent enrollment in EDN 436 .
