KIN 247 - Human Anatomy3.50 credit hours An in-depth study of the structure and function of the musculoskeletal anatomy of the human body including bones, bony processes, ligaments, muscles, tendons, nerves and major blood vessels of the human body. This course relates the structure of human anatomy to the injury and rehabilitation processes as well as the study of exercise and health education. Each body region discussed will include a discussion of the related bones, boney types and structures, joint types and movements, ligaments, muscular types, origins, insertions, innervations and actions and related structures, such as bursa, retinacula and fascia. Laboratory studies include exploration of the gross anatomy of the musculoskeletal systems of the human body through modeling. Laboratory required.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 147 .
